What are the advantages of storing, sharing and tagging web content this way?
What are the disadvantages?
I started using DELICIOUS after a CPL training.
It is not difficult to find the information by the tags and to share them with anybody around the web, specially when the customer is on the phone, in the info chat, or using a computer(you can navigate with the customer at the same time). With Delicious, you can:
- access the information by any computer around the world,
- save your favorites bookmarks online using your own simple words (tags),
- share the bookmarks with other people,
- your bookmarks will organize themselves by the tags,
- see some of the most popular websites on a specific topic right now,
- etc.
One of the disadvantages is that Delicious is not as friendly to use as "Google search". This make it more difficult to promote and to share with other web users. Don't forget that the Google search is already in our browser; It is one more step to go to the delicious website, to find the link and then find the information.
